It’s a new year and to ring in the changes there are some big happenings in the Powerball Lottery. The lottery has gone through many changes since its launch, including a name change and changes to the way the lottery is played.

The changes came into force on January 4th 2009 and it’s an exciting time for the Powerball Lottery, the starting jackpot on the lottery is now increased from $15 million to $20 million, making it the worlds largest guaranteed jackpot for a lottery style game.
