You may notice week on week that the jackpot on the EUromillions Lotto varies. This is because the jackpot is always dependent on how much money is put into the Euromillions pot.

The standard jackpot on the Euromillions is usually around £12 million, this is an estimated amount week on week and varies depending on how many people are playing in the draw.
The Euromillions jackpot can often get much higher than that though, this is because when the Euromillions jackpot is not won it rolls over to the following week making the jackpot much higher, and when the jackpot is not won week after week it really can reach eye-watering amounts.

Euromillions often hold another type of draw called the Superdraw, the Euromillions Superdraw always has a £100 million jackpot. Sometimes they are just planned and run that way and sometimes they are created because the jackpot has rollover over so many times.

The difference between normal Euromillions draws and Superdraws is this. In a Euromillions £100 million Superdraw the jackpot must be won. That means that if no tickets match all the numbers drawn and the lucky stars to win the jackpot the £100 million is shared between all the next division winners, so if no one matches all five numbers and the two lucky stars then the jackpot is shared between the players who matched five main numbers and one lucky star. Say ten players hit the lower level prize on a Superdraw then this would give them £10 million each.
