Lotto in the uk – The odds of winning the Lotto are pretty high but we’ve found something that comes with even greater odds, in fact it’s so odd the odds really are stacked against it. In the Nebraska daily pick 3 lottery last Tuesday night the numbers chosen were exactly the same as the winning numbers from the night before, they even came out in the same order.
As unlikely as it may seem, and many players thought there had been an error, it really did happen. A Nebraska Lottery spokesman said that one of the two lottery computers that generate random combinations of numbers picked the numbers 1, 9 and 5, in that order for Monday nights Pick 3 draw. He says the other computer of the two picked exactly the same three numbers on Monday night too, in that order.
They say the odds of the same numbers being selected in the same order two nights running are more than one million to win.
And players clearly feel the same, as the player who won Mondays $600 top prize didn’t use the same numbers the following night and missed out on Tuesdays top prize. But that top prize was won by three other players who choose the same numbers that had been drawn the night before.
Confused? Yes us too, imagine how the players watching the draw must have felt.
