If you joined in the 2008 Nokia promotion for Euromillions by email you might want to know who the winner was. The draw was to held in Paris and people all over the UK were invited to enter.
Unfortunately if you did enter I am sorry to tell you that the whole thing was a lottery scam, it had nothing to do with Euromillions or the National Lotto and was just an email scam like many other lottery scams circulating by email right now.
It’s been said that the easiest way to win the lottery is to get an email address, that’s because of the huge amount of lottery scams circulating right now.
Don’t be sucked in, if you didn’t enter a lottery draw then you can’t possibly have won and be wary of email invitations. Microsoft don’t send competition emails to random email addresses, they are trying to cut down on spam not create it.
Use your common sense, if something seems too good to be true then it probably is, don’t believe everything you read, especially not if it’s been sent to you by a stranger and most importantly, never, ever divulge personal information to strangers or organisations by email.
So if you answered any emails regarding the 2008 Nokia promotion I’m sorry to tell you, you’ve been had, there were no winners as it wasn’t even a real promotion.
